29.09.2016, Darbhanga: At a press conference organized on World Heart Day doctors at Paras Global Hospital, Darbhanga cautioned against dangerous lifestyle factors behind increasing threat of cardiovascular disease among young Indians.
Speaking at the press conference Dr. A.K.Gupta (Consultant-Non Invasive Cardiology) said that lack of awareness about keeping healthy lifestyle, excessive fast food consumption and increased consumption of tobacco products are among the prime reasons behind heart related diseases.
Dr. Jyoti Prakash Karn (Consultant-Interventional Cardiology) emphasized the importance of recognizing the early symptoms of heart attack and taking preventive actions through proper treatment.
Unlike two decades back when genetic predisposition was the most prominent risk factor for the cardiovascular diseases, today lifestyle habits have become the leading cause of heart disease. Lack of active routine, increasing stress, junk food, high sugar drinks are some of the factors making people susceptible to heart disease and stroke, said Dr. Amar Nath Shaw (Consultant- Cardiac Surgery).
